OPTIM-R vacuum insulated panels (often called a VIP) offer solutions for those times when you know you're going to run out of space or for when space is tight.

Product Information

Kingspan OPTIM-R is a next generation insulation comprising rigid vacuum insulation panels (VIP) with a microporous core, which is evacuated, encased and sealed in a thin, gas–tight envelope to give outstanding R–values and an ultra–thin insulation solution.

The high level of thermal efficiency, up to 5x better than other commonly available building insulation materials, with minimal thickness achieved by Kingspan OPTIM-R can provide solutions for applications where a lack of construction space or depth is an issue.

Thermal Resistance
ASTM C1667 (Standard Test Method for Using Heat Flow Meter Apparatus to Measure the Center-of-Panel Thermal Transmission Properties of Vacuum Insulation Panels) is the only test method designated by ASTM to be used specifically for testing center panel thermal resistance of Vacuum Insulated Panels. ASTM C1667 further states that Vacuum Insulated Panels fall outside the scope of test method ASTM C518. All of the below stated thermal resistance values are based on Certified ASTM C1667 testing.
