The ILFI has set out to champion a Zero Energy future with an invitation to join a collective action to radically accelerate actions to meet the Paris Climate Accord
. The focus of
Paris Solutions is on far-reaching, verified, assertive action to ensuring words are backed by real results. Those actions result in a more sustainable society, environment, and culture than occurred during the fossil fuel driven industrial era. Simply put the campaign is a:
- A cohort of leading organizations across the built environment
from owners and developers to designers, contractors, and product
manufacturers who share aggressive climate goals in alignment
with the 2015 Paris Agreement
- A platform for participants to share best practices, and accelerate
climate action within their organizations
- A campaign to leverage the collective expertise of the participants
to scale climate action across industries
The organizations involved in the Paris Solutions Campaign are “leaders of leaders”—companies, governments, and NGO’s that are deeply committed to the radical change need to create a thriving world that doesn’t use fossil fuels. In twenty years, our hope is the Paris Solutions Campaign will be seen as one of the key leadership efforts that helped turn the tide on climate change. In addition to Kingspan, other companies in the Campaign include:
- Alexandria Real Estate
- Arup
- District of Columbia
- HOK
- Integral Group
- ILFI
- McLennan Design
- NRDC
- Perkins + Will
- Phipps Conservatory
- Salesforce
- Skanska
The members will focus on a collective strategy that will be publicly announced later this year.
While the federal government abandoning the accord has been a major disappointment, it has served to motivate other countries, cities and corporations to increase their efforts to fight the effects of climate change.
