Grants for Cavity Wall Insulation

What is Pumped Cavity Wall Insulation?

Pumped cavity wall insulation a non-intrusive solution which is proven to reduce energy costs. This solution is one of the most efficient ways to improve your homes energy efficiency and can help improve thermal performance of both old and new properties.

Bead insulation is pumped into the gap between the interior and exterior walls of a property. It comprises of materials which inhibit heat transfer, by filling the air space in a cavity wall with this insulation, the amount of heat lost through the wall will fall dramatically, thus reduce heating cost.

How is Pumped Cavity Wall Insulation Installed?

Kingspan EcoBead Cavity Wall Insulation
We are proud to use Kingspan EcoBead as our pumped cavity wall insulation solution. We have designed a process to ensure that the installation of EcoBead in your home is as simple as possible.

Firstly our experienced technicians will discuss your insulation requirements and answer any questions you may have about the process.

An authorised EcoBead technician will call to your home to conduct a site survey to ensure the property is suitable for this installation.

The EcoBead installation team will arrive at your property and prepare to pump the cavity wall installation into your home. The installation team will drill a series of 22mm holes in the block work of your property. The insulation will then be pumped into the cavity through these holes.

This process will be carried out in the best way possible in order to minimise the aesthetic impact of the procedure on your property. For example, for properties with a brick façade these drill holes will be placed in the mortar joints. Once the cavity space has been filled the installation team will use white cement putty to close up the drilled holes, remove all their equipment and leave your home as they found it. Overall this process should not exceed four hours.
