Do you know how much money you could save by having cavity wall insulation? On average, a home loses 20 – 30% of its heat through its walls and even more if they are poorly or un-insulated, costing you money!

For cavity wall insulation Kingspan Retrofit uses the Kingspan Ecobead System. Kingspan Ecobead is a combination of high performance insulated beads locked into tightly packed honeycomb matrix with a water based adhesive. This pumped cavity wall insulation can be inserted into both existing properties and new builds and will provide a noticeable improvement in the overall thermal properties of your home.

Cavity wall insulation can:
  • Reduce your heating costs – saving you money & energy
  • Increase heat retention
  • Eliminate condensation
  • Add value to your home
  • Reduce your carbon footprint
  • Improve your homes BER (Building Energy Rating)

Is there much mess?

Carrying out any job which involves a drilling process will inevitably create a bit of dirt and dust, but rest assure it will all be cleared away upon completion by our installation team your house will be left in the condition it was found in. They will fill any drill holes they have made with mortar to closely match the existing finish, to look as if nothing ever happened!

After the installation is complete there are no ongoing maintenance requirements to the Kingspan Ecobead cavity fill insulation. The team will arrive on site and the product will be directly pumped into the cavity wall from the Kingspan Ecobead truck. This cavity wall insulation does not need to be stored on site prior to installation, all equipment will be removed from your premises immediately after the installation is complete and you will not have to handle the product.

This cavity wall insulation is pumped into the cavity through the outer masonry left of your home, causing little disturbance and allowing residents to remain in the property during installation. If you live in a semi-detached house do not worry, the cavity wall insulation will not infiltrate into your neighbour’s property. A vertical cavity barrier is inserted at the boundary line between you home and your neighbours` home, prohibiting any material to be distributed into your neighbours’ cavity walls.

After the installation of your new cavity wall insulation is complete an almost immediate difference in the heat and comfort level of your home should be noticed.
