The newly renovated Páirc Uí Chaoimh regeneration project took two years and €80 million to complete. Irelands latest state of the art stadium has a capacity of 45,000 and the new full size 4G flood lit all weather pitch is very impressive.
Some of the new improvements include 74 turnstiles, a new conference centre, four dressing rooms with underfloor heating, physio facilities warm up areas and first aid rooms. There are also new facilities for media, a merchandise shop, 12 confectionary shops, 13 bars and 7 food stands.
We are delighted to be a part of this regeneration process at Páirc Uí Chaoimh, we had a number of products used in this project. Our Kingspan Kooltherm K7 Pitched Roof Board premium performance insulation with a fibre-free rigid thermoset phenolic core was used within the build. Easy to handle and install on site.
Also used on the project was Kingspan Kooltherm K10 Soffit Insulation sandwiched between an upper tissue-based facing and a lower facing of highly reflective aluminium foil autohesively bonded to the insulation core during manufacture.
Kingspan Kooltherm K12 Framing Board for use in timber and metal framed construction was also for use in timber and metal framed construction.
Páirc Uí Chaoimh is such an iconic building within the city and home of Cork GAA, this modern stadium is now well equiped to host top level GAA matches and concerts with 1500 square metres of flexible conference space.
