Ballycotton Seaview Home

Ballycotton house is situated with a breath-taking view over the sea in south east Cork

The Project

Ballycotton house is situated with a breath-taking view over the sea in south east Cork. The house takes advantage of the views at every possible opportunity with floor to ceiling glass throughout the main living areas.
The 432m2 building is split over two levels and with a combination of natural stone and zinc cladding. The 168mm Zinc and Metdeck cladding was installed by Metal Processors.

The impressive roof terraces providing outdoor access to the stunning views were constructed using Kingspan Optim-R insulation system and Sisk PVC achieving a U-Value of 0.12 W/M.K. The roof of the project is a Sika PVC membrane on Kingspan Tapered insulation board.

We supplied PIR Therma TF70 60mm & Kooltherm K3 phenolic board within a number of the floor build ups.  Also used in the project was our Kingspan Syrozone N300R 120m which is a high performance rigid extruded polystyrene insulation.

The highly energy efficient home also used our Kooltherm K8 120m cavity insulation board to help the home feel warm and comfortable all year round. This super insulated home not only benefited from its beautiful location but also from its outstanding thermal performance.
