Ripley Town Centre: Delivering Urban Construction with a Sustainable Ethos

Ripley Town Centre in Queensland Australia is leading the way in smart and sustainable design. The world-class destination is a shining example of the connection between urban construction and sustainable practises.

All members of the community will benefit from the opportunities and experiences that Ripley Town Centre offers, promoting health, wellbeing, interaction and creativity for the whole community to enjoy.

A key objective in the planning and development of the building was the use of rainwater tanks to reduce the mains water demand. Kingspan installed four Modline Steel tanks allowing for maximum water storage capacity. The Modline shape accommodates large commercial fittings and provides efficient use of space and water use. Together, the tanks have the potential to harvest 25,200 litres of rainwater a year. The rainwater will be reused for toilet flushing and landscape irrigation.

Following its official opened in May 2018,  Ripley Town Centre already boasts a 74% reduction in Potable Water Consumption compared to a Standard Practice Building.
