The project starts immediately, and the plant is scheduled to be operational in the second half of 2019. The Nordic Kooltherm facility will initially employ around 20 people. When fully operational, it will provide employment for between 70-80 people. The plant will be designed to meet Kingspan's global goal of
net-zero energy.
Kooltherm is a high-performance phenolic insulation material that makes it possible to construct energy efficient buildings with almost half the thickness of traditional mineral fibre insulation.
