Unvented hot water cylinders are extremely reliable and can offer an operational lifespan of 25+ years, providing they are properly maintained. Kingspan believe in providing our customers with the best service possible throughout their relationship with us. Our expert service is centred on our market-leading cylinder products, professional advice and bespoke design, coupled with our excellent aftersales care from the Kingspan Service Team. 

To ensure your hot water cylinder operates to its full potential throughout its lifespan, we recommend that you have it serviced annually. An annual service will enable a Kingspan Engineer to fully inspect your cylinder, check for any potential issues and rectify them before they effect the performance of your hot water cylinder and ensures that you are meeting the warranty requirements.

What does the package include?

When the cylinder is initially installed our expert team will carry out an initial inspection, which checks;
  1. That the installation is within building regulations
  2. The installation complies with manufacturer’s instructions
  3. The operating performance of the cylinder
    • Cylinder system settings are correct
    • It is reaching temperature
    • Flow rates – Hot tap (Kitchen where possible)
    • Flow rates – Cold tap (Kitchen where possible)
  4. Record & report all observations if any issues present

Our annual service will then assess the following to ensure that your system remains fully functional;
  1. Safety checks, ensure the following components are working:
    1. Expansion relief valve
    2. T&P valve
    3. The D2 pipe
    4. Expansion Vessel
    5. Test the thermostats
    6. High temperature cut-out
  2. Performance
    1. Clean the inlet filter
    2. Electrically test immersion heater
    3. Lime Scale Check – in hard water areas
  3. Re-setting
    1. Re-pressurise the system
    2. Set control thermostats
    3. Ensure motorised valves & circulating pump are working
    4. Check the expansion vessel on the central heating system
    5. Flow rates – Hot tap (Kitchen where possible)
    6. Flow rates – Cold tap (Kitchen where possible)
    7. Complete Benchmark log
