We are delighted to offer a number of free CPD seminars covering a wide range of industry topics. Each lasts approximately one hour and can take place at your office.

Following the seminar, we will be happy discuss any projects you may be working on at the moment, offer general advice and arrange U-value calculations, condensation risk and tapered roof designs to be supplied to you free of charge.

Regulations and Standards for Energy Efficiency

Discover the latest energy efficiency requirements, set out in Part L Building Regulations (for England and Wales) and Scottish Section 6 Building Regulations (for Scotland) , for new and existing buildings and how you can achieve compliance. Premium Performance Phenolic Insulation

This CPD focuses on the benefits of phenolic insulation, specifically the Kingspan Kooltherm K100 Range, which has a thermal conductivity as low as 0.018 W/m2.K - the highest performing available rigid thermoset insulation. It looks at the different applications available and other design considerations, such as daylighting and internal space within a building.
By the end of this CPD you will:
  • understand the science of thinner insulation;
  • be able to identify approved application for phenolic insulation; and

RIBA Accredited: Flat and Tapered Roofing

Kingspan Tapered Roofing
This RIBA accredited CPD provides an overview of the different types of flat roof build ups including deck substrates, waterproofing systems and target U-values. It also looks at the ‘how, what and why’ of tapered roofing systems.
By the end of this CPD you will:
  • understand different types of flat roof constructions;
  • know the regulations and codes of practise;
  • be able to determine the suitability of different methods of creating a fall; and
  • be able to identify features of tapered insulation in flat roof constructions.

Facades and Fire Safety: Choosing the Right Route to Compliance

This CPD will discuss what must be taken into account when designing both high and low rise buildings, it will cover the current fire safety legislation and guidance and look at the current routes to compliance and how these could be improved. It will also cover the key issues when constructing or replacing cladding systems on high rise buildings.
