Clarges Mayfair

Clarges Mayfair is a super-prime development of 34 luxury residences, overlooking Green Park and Buckingham Palace.

The Project

Clarges Mayfair is a development of 34 luxury residences with stunning views over Green Park and Buckingham Palace. The development complements the historic architecture of surrounding Piccadilly landmarks, including The Ritz and The Wolseley hotels, through the use of traditional Portland stone.

Slim Construction

The Kingspan OPTIM-R vacuum insulation panels (VIPs) were installed in a 50 mm thickness, along with a 30 mm thick overlay of Kingspan Thermaroof TR27. These were installed on the private terraces of Clarges Mayfair apartments featured on the fifth to ninth floors, and on the fully accessible terraces with adjacent green roofs in the offices at 7 Clarges Street.

Kingspan OPTIM-R is well suited for Clarges Mayfair as the product offers a minimal construction thickness, allowing the project to maintain maximum floor to ceiling heights.
Clarges Mayfair is the site of some of the city’s finest homes. Its unique design reveals layers of detailing in its stonework and bronze, which draw upon its heritage and surroundings. The Kingspan OPTIM-R panels allowed us to improve the thermal efficiency of the property without negatively impacting upon its floor to ceiling heights. Premium Space

The optimum performance of the Kingspan VIPs combined with slim build ups allowed the roofs to meet the overall U-value of 0.20 W/m2.K, without compromising internal space. Improving the thermal performance of Clarges Mayfair helped the building to reduce its energy demand, thereby ensuring fewer carbon emissions.
