From production to construction, we are committed to ensuring our products have minimal impact on the environment. Kingspan QuadCore technology exemplifies this. The high performance of its core and the way it is manufactured helps the product to achieve higher ratings in building assessment methodologies such as BREEAM and LEED. However, the benefits of ‘greener’ buildings go beyond the environment, providing healthier, happier places for people to live, work, learn and thrive.

Manufacture

Thanks to QuadCore’s superior thermal performance, we can manufacture thinner panels faster, with less energy, and using fewer raw materials, reducing carbon emissions and optimising natural resource use.

 

The product’s material efficiency is taken further with the inclusion of recycled materials. For example, the steel used to manufacture the panels contains between 20%-25% recycled content. QuadCore™ solutions can achieve material efficiency savings of up to 10% when compared with standard polyurethane insulation.

 

The product is produced in a UK facility that uses 100% renewable energy (either generated on site or procured), which has also achieved BES 6001 Responsible Sourcing certification.

Product

The RedList-Free core has Low Global Warming Potential, which is also CFC and HCFC free. It is third-party verified to EN 15804 Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) on EcoPlatform and Greenbooklive.

Construction

The enhanced lambda value of QuadCore panels facilitates a fabric-first construction approach, minimising heat loss through the envelope. This reduces energy use from heating and ventilation systems. This performance is guaranteed by Kingspan for 40 years.
 

The systems are also easy to disassemble at end of life.
