Our UltraTech Versatile ceiling and wall panels have been designed for semi-flush cleanroom environments

Certification and Testing

Reaction to Fire

QuadCore UltraTech Versatile Panels are classified B-s1,d0, when tested on the internal face of the product, according to the European Reaction to Fire classification system (Euroclasses) BS EN 13501–1: 2007+A1: 2009 under the certified name KS1100UT-S/KS1200UT-S and BS EN 13501-1:2018 under the certified name KS1100UT-S/KS1200UT-S when using the following internal liners:

CLEANsafe 15, CLEANsafe 25, CLEANsafe 55, CLEANsafe 120

Fire Resistance

Insurer Approvals

LPS 1181 Part 2: Issue 2 Requirements and tests for sandwich panels and built-up systems for use as internal constructions in buildings certified to:

Insurer approvals are large scale testing regimes that provide objective third-party testing, which is underpinned by quarterly, bi-annual and annual factory surveillance audits (depending on the region) to verify compliance. The panels are also being manufactured under Environmental Management System Certification BS EN ISO 14001, Energy Management System Certification BS EN ISO 50001 and Occupational Health and Safety Certification BS EN ISO 45001. QuadCore UltraTech Versatile Panels are CE marked to BS EN 14509: 2013.

The UltraTech Versatile MF panels are designed for cleanroom environments where fire safety is important. The panels are suitable for all internal Cleanroom applications including new build and refurbishment projects. The UltraTech Versatile mineral fibre panels are typically installed vertically, also suitable for Horizontally installed applications.

Insulation
UltraTech Versatile MF panels feature a mineral wool insulation core, 50C and 50F, consisting of vertically-oriented fibres. As a result of this orientation, the panels provide excellent mechanical properties (high tensile and compression strength).

Density
The nominal density is as below:
  • 50C = 95kg/m3.
  • 50F = 120kg/m3.

Fire Performance
Surface Spread of Flame: The steel outer and inner facings have Class 1 surface spread of flame to BS 476-1: 1997 (Fire tests on building materials and structures. Method of test to determine the classification of the surface spread of flame of products) and are Class 0, as defined by Building Regulations. Reaction to fire B.S2,d0 according to EN13501.

Acoustic Performance
UltraTech Precision ECOsafe PIR panels have a predicted single figure weighted sound reduction Rw = 24dB.

Insulation Core
UltraTech Precision ECOsafe PIR panels feature an environmentally sustainable closed-cell PIR insulation core which is non-deleterious with Zero Ozone Depletion Potential (Zero ODP).

Biological
UltraTech Precision ECOsafe PIR panels are resistant to attack from mould, fungi, mildew and vermin. No urea formaldehyde is used in the manufacture of the panels. UltraTech Precision ECOsafe PIR panels can incorporate project-specific HYGIENEsafe, wash and clean down facings. 

Panel Joint
UltraTech Precision ECOsafe PIR panels feature a unique aluminium perimeter profile on all sides to create a fully flush joint. The panel side joint can accommodate a hygienic silicone seal finish. The joint created between the wall panels also allows for concealment of services. 

Airtightness 
UltraTech Precision MF Core panels  achieve airtightness of less than 0.003m3/hr/m2 at 50Pa in accordance with EN 14509

Watertightness
UltraTech Precision ECOsafe PIR panels are watertight to 1050Pa (Class B) according to EN 14509.
