The new Kingspan Light + Air site was designed using many of the wider Kingspan Group's construction solutions. The aim is to make this head office a real demonstration of high-level performance, in terms of comfort, technical performance and respect of the environment, and to show Group’s ability to offer a comprehensive solution for the building envelope.

Two advanced core insulation types were used
  1. QuadCore, a new generation of insulated panel incorporated into the QuadCore Evolution Recess.
  2. Kooltherm, a high-performance insulating board.

Lighting in the industrial part, was provided by the solution Smart-Lite Kite.
The new head office has a ‘Very Good’ level of BREEAM certification. The approach ensures respect of the environment from the design phase and throughout the building’s lifecycle. Nine themes are taken into account: management; health and well-being; energy, water and waste management; access to sustainable modes of transport; materials used; impact of the project on the site; pollution in the surrounding environment.
