How we approach the future of our built environment is fundamental to safeguarding the health of our planet and its people.

QuadCoreTM Technology has been developed to minimise environmental impact at every stage of its lifecycle. From its high-performance design and responsible manufacturing process powered by renewable energy, to contributing towards the award of credits for sustainability standards such as BREEAM and LEED, QuadCoreTM supports environmentally considerate building every step of the way.

Through Design

In addition to delivering superior thermal performance, the insulation material itself has low Global Warming Potential and is also CFC and HFC free. It is certified as RedList free, which means it does not contain any of the materials deemed harmful by the International Living Building Institute.

It is also third-party verified to EN 15804 Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) on EcoPlatform and Greenbooklive.

Through Production

Its low thermal conductivity means we can manufacture thinner panels faster, with less energy, and using fewer raw materials. This reduces carbon emissions and optimises the use of natural resources during manufacture.

The inclusion of recycled materials helps take the product’s material efficiency even further. For example, the steel used to manufacture the panels contains between 20%-25% recycled content.

Through Application

The enhanced lambda value of QuadCore™ facilitates a fabric-first construction approach. Unlike many other insulation materials, the technology’s closed cell structure means it is not impacted by moisture ingress or air movement causing thermal degradation. Its engineered airtight jointing can help to further optimise the energy performance of buildings, reducing long-term running costs and carbon emissions.

This combination of excellent fabric and environmental performance means QuadCore™ panelised facades and rainscreen systems can contribute towards the award of credits within sustainability standards such as BREEAM and LEED.

Going Further

The benefits of more sustainable buildings go beyond protecting the environment. Many of the steps taken to improve a building’s efficiency can also have a positive effect on the occupants providing healthier, happier places for people to live, work, learn and thrive.
