The flooring solution provides the facility management team with a great deal of flexibility – rapid access the void, enabling reconfiguration, fault-finding or simply to maintain the many metres of cables and pipework that are required to service such a leading-edge education building.
The campus comprises of six academic schools across three buildings that are interlinked by a bright ‘street’ atrium. Access floors are being utilised across multiple state of the art teaching and learning facilities including specialist laboratory spaces.
Fully encapsulated steel panels make up the majority of the flooring system, with vinyl-faced panels being utilised in areas that require a durable bonded final surface finish.
On the Ecocampus project Gordon comments “this is such a prestigious building that will have an incredible impact on the shape of education buildings long into the future, we are delighted to be involved and can’t wait to see 4,000 students walking on our floors in September!”
