Belfast Harbour’s estate spans over 8,000,000 m2. Its latest development phase, City Quays 2, has been constructed in 18 months with a construction value of £16.5 million.
Using Kingspan Access Floors’ systems on the nine-storey structure has helped to meet the objective of creating adaptable, Grade A office spaces to suit a variety of commercial tech, financial services and legal businesses.
The new multimillion-pound regeneration scheme in the historic Belfast Harbour needed to provide maximum space planning efficiency, with the flexibility to meet the requirements of future occupants.
Kingspan’s raised access flooring provide a durable solution for City Quays 2’s cable management and sub-floor air distribution, which can be quickly reconfigured to adapt to layout changes or additional service requirements tenants may have.
Kingspan RMG 600 Simploc was installed on the ground floor Management Suite, with RMG 600 and RMG 600 Simploc fitted on floors three through to seven. RMG 600 performs to PSA medium grade, featuring galvanised steel-encapsulated panels that come with a 25-year total system warranty. The system has also been designed so that the flooring can be easily removed or replaced.
