Kingspan Yours to Shape - More than a Graduate Programme

On joining the business you will take part in our graduate development programme alongside your day job. Yours to Shape Graduate Programme is modular with a mix of virtual and in person events over 12 months incorporating workshops, site visits, masterclasses, digital support, small group meet ups and final team projects.

It is designed to provide you with support and guidance during your first 12 months in the business and as you make the transition from university to the world of work.

Yours to Shape is delivered by a team of highly experienced facilitators who make sure every event in the programme, whether in person or virtual, is interactive, participative and engaging. The aim of these various sessions is to equip you with tools and resources that you can utilise now and build on as your career progresses.

They are designed to compliment the on-the-job and functional/technical development you receive in your day job. They also provide an invaluable opportunity to work and network with graduates from across the globe and who work in different functions and divisions of the business.

A key feature of Yours to Shape is the opportunity to gain an understanding of the business across different regions and divisions. The in person events are held in locations close to Kingspan sites so that we can incorporate site visits, interactions with local senior managers and insights into our various products and processes in different geographies. Previous cohorts have visited France, Spain, Hungary and the Netherlands.

During the Yours to Shape programme graduates get the opportunity to hear first hand from those leaders about the progress that the company is making in these areas, through two or more Masterclasses which can be attended in person or virtually.

The Yours to Shape 12 month programme culminates in a project Showcase held each year at IKON, the company's Global Innovation Centre in Ireland, when the teams present their project findings to an invited audidence of Divisional MDs, and Global Functional leads.

You will need to be:

• Ready to take on responsibility, be challenged and work on your own initiative 

• No more than 12 months post-graduation with no more than 12 months work experience 

• A graduate of one of the academic areas required by the role you are applying to 

• Fluent in English 

• Fluent in the language(s) relevant to the role you are applying to (please refer to individual job postings for more details) 

• Eligible to live and work indefinitely in the location you are applying to (please refer to individual job postings for more details) 

• Open to travelling or even relocating 

• Have a clean driving license (a specific requirement for some roles) 

1. Complete the online application form 

Answer some basic questions about you and your studies

2. Complete the online assessments 

These are task-based assessments developed by Arctic Shores which are designed to measure natural behaviour tendencies and cognitive preferences, rather than academic knowledge 

Tip: Make sure you are in a comfortable distraction free environment, complete the practice tests and approach the tasks the way that feels most natural to you 

3. Record a short video interview  

You will be presented with 4 scenario-based questions in text which have been developed to give you a realistic idea of what it might be like to work for Kingspan. 

 Tip: Do your prep on the company and role.  Make sure your microphone and camera are working 

 4. Attend our virtual Assessment Centre 

This is a half day of live assessments i.e. an individual presentation, a scenario-based interview and a group exercise.  The assessors you meet on the day will be made up of HR Representatives and Hiring Managers. 

Tip: Start preparing as soon as you receive your invite.  Check out our values particularly in the area of Sustainability and think about what motivated you to apply.  Attend the candidate briefing that you will be invited to ahead of the assessment centre so you know how the session will run.

Yes, we provide candidates with feedback at different stages of the process.

While, due to the number of applications we receive, we are unable to provide feedback following every stage of the process you will receive a written report after you complete the online tests and verbal feedback after taking part in an assessment centre. 

Yes there will be a closing date posted on the role you are applying for.

However, please note that applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, and early applications are strongly encouraged. We reserve the right to extend the job posting or close it early.

GenAI can be used to help practice and structure your responses but should not be used create your responses. For example, you could use GenAI by showing it the job description and asking it to generate mock interview questions to practice with, but it should not be used to simply answer the questions for you. 

Remember, the goal of using GenAI in your job application is to augment your natural abilities and showcase your best self. It's not about creating a persona that isn't you. We value authenticity and want to understand who you are, your experiences, and what you bring to the table.

Yes, we will agree a mutually convenient date for you to start. 

We are happy to be flexible with you so you get the chance to fulfil any commitments you may have.  You will however need to be available to start work by the 30 September at the very latest. 

This will depend on the role you apply to.

Being mobile is a definite advantage when applying to our graduate programme.

When you apply to join Kingspan you are applying to a specific role which you will stay in for at least your first 12 months while you are also attending the graduate programme with other new graduates from different functions and regions across our global business. 

When you join the Kingspan Graduate Programme you are an employee from Day 1. 

Your employment will continue unbroken at the end of the 12-month programme.
