Gulfstream Building 6003

The Project

An international leader in business aviation, the aerospace engineering and manufacturing company Gulfstream has experienced rapid expansion year-after-year, so it was of little surprise when the increasing demand for Gulfstream products required an additional facility at their Savannah, GA location.

The success of the Gulfstream 6003 facility proves the ease of implementation of Kingspan insulated metal panels for build speed, energy efficiency, and aesthetic appeal.

Ground Speed

Yancey & Jamieson, Inc. was brought in to manage the project, and selected Kingspan 200 Series Inverted Rib and KarrierPanel wall system. VP of Sales for Yancey & Jamieson, George Paterni, mentioned three important reasons why Kingspan products were chosen for this project: the speed of installation, excellent insulation performance, and they also provided an aesthetically pleasing final touch.

Style in Motion

The KarrierPanel is an air, water, and vapor barrier, which spoke to the Gulfstream Building 6003’s need for energy efficiency. The 200 Inverted Rib wall panel system was also a perfect fit for the energy efficiency need due to the polyisocyanurate core. This core provided the building with superior R-Value performance of 7.2 per inch, and it will allow the Gulfstream Building 6003 to demonstrate superior levels of thermal performance and airtightness over the service life of the building. All of this should translate to an energy savings of up to 30 percent over time.
