Meeting LEED criteria was vital, and by partnering with JRA Architects Ecofibre met the LEED Platinum level desired in less than a year, which can typically take up to three years. Design talent firm JRA Architects selected the entire architectural interior and exterior design package as well as furnishings for the new North American headquarters. With a commitment to sustainability as the focus and the Cradle-to-Cradle requirements for a healthy building environment, the right product choice and selection was strongly desired.

For the building envelope solution, JRA selected products from Kingspan Insulated Panels. The added value included Kingspan’s hybrid core technology, QuadCore.®  This innovation with distinctive gray microcells powers the global industry’s highest combined performance, delivering unrivaled thermal performance, superior fire protection, unmatched health and wellness certifications and a 30-year thermal warranty. Plus, a class leading R-value of R-8.0 per inch makes QuadCore® the most thermally-efficient closed cell insulation core on the market.

Kingspan’s KS Series Shadowline and KarriePanel were the basis of design. Shadowline with QuadCore® can provide unique aesthetics while delivering supreme thermal performance. Adjustable module widths are available with trimless ends and pre-formed corners providing a clean, finished appearance.

KarrierPanel is a cost-effective universal barrier wall alternative solution to traditional multi-component wall systems. KarrierPanel utilizes Kingspan’s fully engineered KarrierRail to securely and safely transmit loads from a wide range of façade options to the structural supports behind the insulated panel and is now available with QuadCore.®

The architect of record achieved the LEED Platinum level status in 11 months, and the lead time for delivery of the Kingspan Insulated metal panels was also unmatched.

“We looked at other manufacturers and the Kingspan QuadCore® is what made the difference for us,” stated Marty Merkel, AIA, LEED AP with JRA Architects.
