Kingspan Insulated Panels has been named a winner in Architectural Products 2018 Product Innovation Awards. The company won an Industry Leader Award for its commitment to sustainability, transparency and resiliency, and a Product Innovation Award for QuadCore Technology, its most technologically-advanced metal panel insulation.

The eighth annual Product Innovation Awards honor innovation in the development and refinement of building-related products and range from cladding systems to interior finishes. Beyond recognizing innovative products, they honor manufacturers who have demonstrated outstanding leadership across platforms like research and development, education and sustainability initiatives.

“An important part of our ethos at Kingspan is to lead the industry in innovation and sustainability, through both our business practices and our products,” said Karim Muri, Vice President, Customer Excellence and Marketing Services. “We are pioneering better technologies and are on track to become a Net Zero Energy company by 2020. It is an honor to be recognized as an industry leader for our corporate efforts, and for our unique product, QuadCore Technology.”

Kingspan is paving the way to a sustainable future as it has committed to become a Net Zero Energy company by 2020. Kingspan’s aggregate renewable energy use is currently 67 percent, putting the company on track to achieve its Net Zero Energy goal by 2020. The company’s eight North American facilities currently exceed 70 percent for renewable energy use.

QuadCore Technology utilizes a hybrid insulation core with a closed microcell structure that delivers the ultimate in insulated metal panel performance in four key areas: thermal performance, fire protection, health and wellness, and warranty. It represents a huge leap forward for the creation of buildings that deliver cutting-edge thermal performance.

“Building on the success of last year’s program, our eighth edition of the awards proves commercial building manufacturers are committed to, and are working arduously toward, delivering more sustainable products, as well as products that deliver better performance, life and affordability,” said Jim Crockett, Editorial Director, Architectural Products Magazine.
