The AIA has recently accredited a new CPD seminar presentation titled ‘Insulation Systems for the Health and Aged Care Sector’.
With Australia’s ageing population on the rise and waiting lists for suitable accommodation continuing to grow, an increasing number of purpose-built aged care facilities are planned or presently under construction.
Health and aged care facilities are particularly sensitive environments, with occupants who are often ill, recovering or living permanently with chronic health conditions. The selection of all building materials, including insulation, is therefore critical to both the performance of the building and the resident’s overall health and wellbeing.
Researched and produced by Kingspan Insulation, the new seminar presentation will enable participants to gain a clear understanding of the various insulation systems most appropriate for health and aged care projects and the advantages and disadvantages of different insulation materials. They will also have the opportunity to apply what they have learnt about material selection and project specifications.
The one-hour presentation is tailored for building design professionals, providing examples of both completed projects and those under construction Australia-wide.
Kingspan Insulation is an AIA-accredited Refuel CPD Provider and this new CPD Seminar is approved for one formal CPD point as part of AIA’s Refuel program. This latest seminar is the sixth in the series of accredited formal CPDs on offer from Kingspan Insulation.
The seminar series includes Insulation 101, Insulation Solutions: Walls & Floors, Section J & Insulation Solutions; Good, Better, Best Insulation Solutions for Roof, Wall and Underfloor; Continuous Insulation: The First Consideration for Energy Efficient Building Envelopes
