Technical Details

Kreate

Integrating multiple aluminium cassettes on a single insulated panel, with a wide range of finishes and complete colour freedom. Individual cassettes on a panel can be finished in a different post-powder coating and in any BS or RAL colour of your choice and can vary in size. Architectural powder coating to Qualicoat standard or Qualicoat ‘Seaside’ standard.

Dimensions

Panel: Sizes are from 600mm width x 1200mm length to 1200mm width x 6000mm length.
Cassette: Sizes from 307mm width x 307mm length to 1174mm width x 3800mm length. Various sizes and colours can be used on any one panel.
Both the horizontal and vertical joints between each cassette / panel are 24mm and formed using an EPDM push-in gasket.

Kreate panels have a Thermal Transmittance (U-value), calculated using the method required by the Building Regulations Part L2 (England & Wales) and Building Standards Section 6 (Scotland), of:
*The core thickness is measured from the internal liner to the line of the cassettes. The insulation immediately behind the cassettes is not taken into account.

Kreate panels are FIREsafe, and approved by the Loss Prevention Certification Board (LPCB) to LPS 1181 Grade EXT-B.

Panel Core
Kreate is ECOsafe with a polyisocyanurate (PIR) insulation core that contains no CFC’s or HCFC’s and has a low global warming potential.
 
  • Façade: The cassettes are manufactured from 2mm aluminium. Both vertical and horizontal joints between cassettes within each panel are also aluminium
  • Internal Liner - Coatings -
    • Standard: polyester coating developed for use for the internal lining of  insulated panels.
    • Standard colour is “bright white” with an easily cleaned surface.
    • Kingspan CLEANsafe: coating developed for use where the liner is exposed to foodstuffs and is regularly cleaned. Colour white.
    • Kingspan AQUAsafe: coating for internal high humidity environments. Colour white.

Notes

For each value individual and combined load cases with appropriate load factors and temperatures have been considered.

  • The table is for dark coloured panels.
  • The following deflection limits have been used:
  • Pressure Loading L/100
  • Suction Loading L/100
  • For intermediate values linear interpolation may be used.The actual wind suction load resisted by the panel is dependent upon the number of fasteners used and material of the rail. The fastener calculation should be carried out in accordance with the appropriate standard. For further advice please contact BENCHMARK Technical Services.
  • The allowable tolerance between bearing planes of adjacent supports is L/600, where L is the distance between supports.
  • Load span tables for spans outside of those shown are available from the BENCHMARK Technical Department.
